If you work in NSW non-coal mining, the Alliance is the Union for you – the Alliance covers all metalliferous mining-related employees, contractors and labour hire workers across NSW. If you mine cobalt, gold, copper, lead, lithium, silver, zinc, bauxite, mineral sands and critical minerals – we cover you.
This includes:
- Both underground and surface workers
- Operators, including jumbo, long hole drilling, charge-up, loader, truck drivers, mill crush, fixed-plant, and service crews
- Tradesman, including electricians, mobile mechanics, fitters, and boiler makers
- Most workers engaged at a hard rock mine.
