Who we are
The NSW Mine Workers Alliance is a newly formed partnership between two of Australia’s oldest and most powerful blue-collar unions, the Mining and Energy Union (MEU) and the Australian Workers’ Union (AWU).
Both Unions have been representing workers and their rights since the 1800’s across a variety of industries.
The Alliance is you, your workmates, and hundreds of miners across NSW coming together to form a united and stronger voice in the workplace.
Our Alliance has been formed so members can engage in collective bargaining, improve the health and safety of our workplaces, and gain a fairer share of the prosperity you generate.
As all forms of hard rock mining grows to produce critical minerals for the future; we’re committed to fighting for well-paid secure jobs, safe worksites and strong communities.
