Danny Brookman
Danny Brookman is a veteran in the mining industry with 25 years of experience and is dedicated to improving the wages and conditions of NSW mine workers.
Danny’s worked across regional NSW, including Peak Gold Mines, North Parks, and Endeavour, mining underground coal, copper, silver and zinc. He’s worked in the service crew, construction crew as a loader operator, remote loader, and mining supervisor – just to name a few!
In the mining industry, Danny’s known for speaking out on the declining of standards and the need for better wages and conditions. He’s joined the Alliance in 2023, eager to draw on his years of knowledge and join the union’s fight to improve workers’ rights.
Danny knows the issues that affect workers in the mines as well as anyone, and with his experience as a site supervisor, can back in our members facing issues and bridge the gap between workers and management.
Danny lives in Cobar, supporting our members in local mines, and in his spare time, Danny loves going fishing, motorbike riding and spending time with his family.
He’s keen and ready to get out, get to talking to members, and negotiate for better outcomes that’ll set the standard for the mining industry all around NSW!
